Lance Stewart, Conservative for Congress
Lance Stewart is a father, veteran, and businessman. Lance grew up in Gulfport, MS, and graduated from Gulfport High School in 2000. He received a BA in Communication: Broadcast Emphasis from Mississippi State University and a BS in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Both, while serving in the military and after leaving active duty Lance has continued his education at the University of the Incarnate Word obtaining a Masters of Arts in Administration: Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management at Northcentral University.
After graduating with his two undergraduate degrees Lance moved to Texas in 2011 before joining the Navy in September of 2012. He served aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford, which he helped commission, as a fire control technician and fire control supervisor. He was an education Petty Officer for his last two commands and helped at least six sailors obtain their undergraduate degrees. He was honorably discharged in September of 2018.
After his military service, Lance returned to Texas where he had maintained his residence during his military service to work in the Oil and Gas industry in Houston. In 2020 he opened two Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchises and was able to weather the COVID-19 pandemic having just started running his own business. During the February 2021 winter storm, he provided meals to firefighters and policemen in the Galleria area.
Lance is married to his wife of nine years, Jessica. They have two daughters, Micaela 7, and Barbara 4. In his free time, Lance can be found at the range, helping coach his daughter’s baseball team, or spending time with his young family.
